Joey told us he wanted to throw a birthday bash to celebrate his 29th year on this planet, and the release of his new Adio pro model shoe. He was also very adamant that there be a an astro jump, a magic show, sack races, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and cupcakes. It was very Joey Brezinski, and a hell of a time. Some of the crew spent a week up at Woodward West. It was five solid days of good times, skateboarding and shenanigans. Thanks for having us out guys…

I don’t know about you guys, but this summer seemed to pass by in a blink. Between a handful of trips and filming for our Going Forward project we’ve been having too much fun to notice the months pass. Click below see to a photographic look back at the good times.
Aldrin had a big weekend. He won the high ollie contest at ASR taking home $1,000 which was a nice birthday present. At 5′6” you would not think Aldrin could be winning high ollie contests but this is actually his second win at the Grind for Life High Ollie Contest. You can see in the photo that he crushed 44” with room to spare. The world record is only 44 1/2” so he’s got that no problem.
Anthony Schultz finished second clearing 42”.
Aldrin also has footy in the Crossroads best trick contest. He’s got the 360 boneless on the quarter pipe extension and the nollie front board on the gap to rail.
Woodward rules! This week happened to be stacked with other events like Maloof and the Agenga trade show. Plus Hoffart and Troy are filming hard for their parts, so we ended up with a smaller crew than we had hoped. Anthony Schultz, Nick Tucker, Sean Conover, Mike Owen, Steve Webb and Ronnie Creager made it a great time. We will definitely be back soon.
Ryan shadowed us most of the week. He’s a cool kid, but Schultz does not approve of his “create-a-skate” board graphic.
Anthony is on a good one right now. Our Scottish homie Div hopped on the trip too. Looks like it was a fun trip with a solid crew.
With video deadlines approaching for Going Forward, the team has been steady filming to get last minute clips for their parts. Today we hit up $h*t Grinder, aptly named after it’s original, literal use. This spot was once a working sewage facility, where a giant spinning processor can be found that was used to grind up sewage. Now, the dried up remnants of this spot can be shred upon (If you’re feeling ballsy).
Jordan had big plans for this spot, but while he was warming up, Schultz was getting buck on the sidelines. He ended up getting an amazing clip just moments before we got the boot. Hard…
